Wooden
travelling roulette set. Roulette was the game of choice in the 18th century, both in Europe and in America. Our travel version of this popular game was devised out of necessity and was used by officers of the Imperial Army and travellers, as well as on military campaigns. It was also used for illegal gambling by croupiers who might have been on the run.Place the lid on the bowl, turn the ebony handle, drop the wooden ball into the hole and wait for the ball to stop spinning. Place your bets and open the lid – this simplified version has fewer numbers but is still great fun.
