Large gourd-shaped piece in copperwork, signed by Jérôme DOUILLET 93, decorated with hammered gold, copper and silver
leaf. Jérôme DOUILLET was born near Grenoble in 1946. After studying literature, spending eight years in the audiovisual sector in Paris, and working on research films funded by the Clough Foundation – USA – and extensive travels, he taught himself the craft of metalwork, working alone, and with the guidance of a few ‘masters’ he set up his workshop in the Ardèche in 1977; in 1990 he settled in Lorraine, in the forest near Domremy.”
