Handcrafted and turned by our artisans, its natural patina – aged and weathered by time – gives it its authentic character. Some stones take several months to acquire the desired patina. It is worth noting that the magic of this stone lies in the transformation that takes place when the master craftsman sets about sculpting it: he must wet it to make it crumbly and pliable under his chisels. Once it dries, it becomes ‘hard as stone’ again!
