The walking stick
as a status symbol Over the centuries, the walking stick—once merely a practical item—has evolved into an elegant accessory essential to the status of a gentleman worthy of the name. Its design, shape and material were indicators of his taste and status. Some canes concealed a long, slender blade within their shafts, ready for defence or a duel. Others concealed a flask or a compass. The most popular, without a doubt, concealed a watch within its knob. We have recreated this Victorian walking stick both for its decorative appeal and for the practicality of its watch.
