Topoke
currency These enormous iron blades were used solely as a form of currency.
Before colonisation, they enabled the Topoke people to acquire a wife in exchange for around twenty of these blades.
The Topoké are an ethnic subgroup belonging to the Ana-Mongo. They are found in the territory of Isangi, Tshopo District, Orientale Province, DRC.
